Job Description

As a Residential Solar Sales Consultant, you will educate, qualify, and advise future customers on the benefits of smart energy conservation and consumption practices. Because our relationships with the industry’s largest manufacturers can be leveraged to target multiple customer profiles, you will have UNLIMITED earning potential. Compensation is 100% commission based, with average first year earnings of $75,000-$120,000 (uncapped commission and bonus structure).

AS A RESIDENTIAL SOLAR SALES CONSULTANT, A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Consult with prospective customers on solar energy solutions for their home
• Achieve sales goals including quotas, lead response timeliness, meeting conversions, etc.
• Qualify prospective customers using established and creative lead method to build your book of business
• Design and build Solar Energy systems that fit the prospective customers needs
• Participate in on-the- job training, classroom instruction, self-study, licensing (if applicable), and lead qualifying activities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with your sphere of influence and the community
• Work with our Affiliate Partners and Vendors to ensure flawless execution of lead response, lead nurturing, etc.
• Weekly reporting
• Attend events selected for outreach to prospective solar customers

THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF:

• YOU CAN CLOSE DEALS. To land this job, you need to have 2+ years of sales experience (in-home sales is preferred but not required).
• YOU LIKE HELPING PEOPLE. You get a kick out of getting people to those “aha” moments. You are patient and explaining the benefits of and teaching someone something new gets you pumped up.

• YOU ENJOY SOLVING PROBLEMS. You love taking on challenges and finding solutions. You don’t get flustered easily. If you don’t know the answer, you’ll dig until you find it. Your analytical skills are solid and help you to understand complex financial returns for your clients’ energy investments.
