Position Title: Preschool - 12th grade Singer / Music Facilitator Reports To: Preschool Director or Lead Teacher Location: Preschool or Early Childhood Education Center
🧒 Primary Responsibilities
Lead engaging sing-alongs and musical activities for children ages 2–5
Introduce basic musical concepts such as rhythm, pitch, and melody
Use instruments, movement, and storytelling to enhance musical experiences
Foster creativity, confidence, and social interaction through music
Collaborate with teachers to integrate music into the broader curriculum
Prepare and perform songs for seasonal events, celebrations, and parent showcases
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing musical environment
🎼 Skills & Qualifications
Strong vocal ability and stage presence suitable for young audiences
Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate music techniques
Ability to play basic instruments (e.g., guitar, keyboard, percussion) is a plus
Patience, enthusiasm, and a playful spirit
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Experience in preschool or music education preferred
CPR/First Aid certification may be required depending on the setting
📚 Education & Desired Experience
Degree or coursework in Music Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field
Prior experience performing or teaching music to young children
Familiarity with diverse musical genres and cultural songs
