Position Summary: As an Investment Analyst, you will collaborate closely with the acquisition, asset management and business development teams to ensure seamless execution of multifamily property transactions, refinancings as well as performed in depth portfolio analysis. The role will require financial expertise to underwrite new acquisitions, analyze portfolio performance, manage the due diligence process and support management efforts. The Investment Analyst will report to the Director of Acquisitions. Job Description Key Responsibilities - Manage and create quarterly reports for the Freeman Webb executive team to track property level and total portfolio results in comparison to industry benchmarks. - Collect and analyze market level information to develop accurate forecasting of market level performance expectations. - Analyze and underwrite potential multifamily investment opportunities - Work with Asset Managers to analyze property level operations, capital projects or other investment factors impacting asset value. - Work with the Business Development and Property Management teams internally to provide feedback and analysis to the firm's clients on operating metrics - Continuously improve the firm's underwriting models and analysis tools through creative problem-solving and innovative thinking Work Experience / Knowledge / Education / Formal Qualifications - Strong aptitude and experience with Excel; including creating Excel-based underwriting or valuation models, calculating industry standard financial metrics (i.e., IRR's, equity multiples, waterfall calculations, etc.) - Excellent analytical, interpersonal, writing and communication skills with the ability to multi-task and a strong desire to learn and succeed. - Existing knowledge of multifamily industry trends, commercial real estate market dynamics, and underwriting standards considered a plus - Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, entrepreneurial environment. Formal Education: - Undergraduate degree or higher is required. License / Registration / Certification: - Excel/ Financial Underwriting courses a plus
