Job Description: We are looking for for Line Cook to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a a self-starter, motivated, and engaged and be able to work in a fast, and dynamic downtown environment.
Job Summary Main duties include preparing and cooking food in a specific station, properly plating dishes, cleaning up prep areas and making sure the kitchen is prepped and stocked in accordance to established restaurant standards. uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in a clean restaurant issue uniform.
Ensure assigned station is properly stocked, clean and ready for service, restock as needed.
Finish assigned prep work as directed.
Prepare, cook and plate dishes and menu items in a timely basis in accordance to established Carmine’s standards.
Attend all scheduled employee meetings, tastings and trainings
In addition, other duties may be required as directed by our chefs.
Qualifications
Must be able to multi-task
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must have an understanding of Italian Fare, cooking stations and cooking techniques.
Must be able to handle utensils and equipment safely.
Must have ServeSafe certification or working to acquire certificate in a timely fashion.
