Snapshot of the Solutions Specialist (Customer Service) Position:
We are looking for college graduates with 2-3 years of work experience who are currently living in the Austin, TX area. This is a customer service position that includes work in a broad range of business functions at a fast-paced small business.
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service to each of our unique carriers and shippers
Schedule shipments by working directly with carriers and shippers
Manage and support carrier and shipper relationships
Initiate and close business accounts with truckload carriers
Negotiate rates with both carriers and shippers
Build out our carrier and customer sales to add to our book of business and their vendors
Become an expert in the logistics industry by mastering product information and customer relationship software (Salesforce.com)
Be an integral part of our close-knit, supportive team. You should be familiar with our core values and be ready to contribute ideas that help further engrain them in our processes. We love creative thinkers!
Work with Operations and Sales teams to ensure our customers are happy and taken care of.
Contribute ideas, analysis, and feedback to the FreightPros internal management team
Hours will typically be 7am-4pm (M-F) but need to be flexible during busy times. Will occasionally need to stay as late as 6pm.
Must be willing to occasionally carry an after-hours cell phone. Typically this is one week per month and usually requires about 30 minutes of your time between ~5pm-8pm. Hours worked can be flexed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required
At least 2 years of customer service experience
Spanish language fluency highly recommended
Familiarity and orientation with our core values
Adapts well to change and able to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment
Creative and proactive in thinking of new ideas for improvement
Comfortable and proficient at communicating by email and by phone
Self-motivated, driven to grow personally and professionally
Able to multitask and prioritize many responsibilities
A quick learner with excellent problem-solving skills
Team-Oriented, friendly and outgoing
Additional Information:
Compensation: $35-$40k base plus opportunity for commission and bonuses (You can expect commission and bonuses to total $2k-$8k in year one.)
