Job Description
Our company is currently seeking an Expense Reimbursement and Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team! You will be responsible for analyzing and entering bills and expense reports for our company.
JOB SCOPE/SUMMARY:
- Receive bills and other expense related items and work with management to confirm approval
- Exercise judgement in verifying compliance of expense reports with internal policies
- Ensure timely approval and then payment of bills received
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Audit expense reports for compliance with company guidelines and verify authorizations.
- Check accuracy of expense reports compared to policy
- Maintain records of payments in order to track missing expenses
- Communicate with company management to receive approval of compliant expenses
- Enter properly authorized invoices and check requests for manual checks.
- Scan documents as needed.
- Archive posted documents
- Perform special projects as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Educational attainment equivalent to high school education
- Specific accounts payable record keeping experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Experience with Quickbooks Desktop accounting software
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to file documents alphabetically, numerically, and chronologically
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
- Ability to operate a document scanner
- Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors
- Ability to check and verify accuracy of expense reports to source documents
