Substance use disorder counselor, must be registered or certified, may consider doing internship if registered by a state certifying entity. Minimum of at least 2 years full-time experience in alcohol and other drug counseling or similar work in a drinking driver, residential or outpatient program (24 units/credits in substance abuse counseling may be equivalent to one year experience. Must be Bilingual English/Spanish, must be bondable, have a Class C driver's license and auto insurance. Must pass a background check, Physical exam, TB test clearance, be fully vaccinated for COVID, CPR, First Adi certification required. If in recovery for substance use disorder, counselor must have a minimum of two(2) years documented sobriety. Counselor Duties: Conduct Alcohol/Drug Education Classes, Group, & Individual Counseling Sessions Participant Screenings, Intakes and Assessments Treatment Planning Charting & Record Keeping of Clinical Activities with Participants Case Management & Referrals for Ancillary Services
