Qualifications Counselor certification or registration is required. Minimum of at lease 2 years experience in alcohol and other drug counseling, or similar work in a drinking driver, residential or outpatient program, 24 units/credits in substance abuse counseling may be equivalent to one year experience. Must be Bilingual/Spanish, be bondable, have a Class C driver's license and auto insurance. Must pass a background check, physical exam and TB test. Must be fully vaccinated for COVID, CPR/First aid certification is required. If in recovery for a substance use disorder, counselor must have a minimum of two(2) years documented sobriety.
