    Our growing firm is seeking a well-qualified senior attorney who can handle a heavy caseload, work independently, and zealously represent clients both in and out of court. Responsibilities: • Attend trials and all other court appearances that arise during a civil case including motions, and case management conferences • Attend and take depositions both in-office and over Zoom and other online platforms. Work closely with clients to prepare them for their depositions • Prepare regular status reports on all assigned cases • Attend and prepare for mediations and Mandatory Settlement Conferences by preparing mediation briefs and Mandatory Settlement Conference Statements • Plan and prepare trial strategy with other team members which include identifying the witnesses and evidence necessary to the case and the expert witnesses that will be retained to provide expert testimony at trial • Manage approximately 30 cases with your team Qualifications: Work independently while handling a heavy caseload Bachelor’s degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (such as an LLM, JSD, or J.D. degree) Five years of experience as a senior associate in the legal industry Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills are desired, as are exceptional writing and verbal communication skills • Must have membership in the California State Bar in good standing without history of discipline (please provide your state bar number) • Applicants must have excellent and persuasive writing and verbal communication skills • While we work as a team at this firm, attorneys must have the ability to manage a caseload with little supervision • Applicants should have meaningful experience advocating for clients in civil cases, in court, in trials, mediations, and arbitrations • Applicants must have the ability to work on a computer, type documents and use Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Explorer, Powerpoint, and Excel, the internet using Firefox, Chrome, and Explorer, and Adobe • We do not offer dictation services to attorneys and competent computer skills, including typing skills, are required for all lawyers in the firm Compensation: $150,000 DOE
