    Job Description

    CAMPAIGN MANAGER

    The Brian Mannix for Congress Campaign is looking for an experienced, savvy, adaptable and agile campaign manager that is dedicated to partnering with the Mannix campaign in NY-8 to make Brian Mannix the U.S. House of Representatives’ first Forwardist member. The Mannix campaign aims to operate outside the normal, traditional structure of most political campaigns of the current era—instead choosing to embrace new tactics of outreach, constituent service, and overall campaigning trending toward a more digital approach to leveraging free media. The Campaign Manager must be able to balance creating long-term strategy, while also able to quickly shift strategy when pivot moments arise.

    Campaign Manager will oversee a robust, hybrid system of campaigning that is split between in-person staff and digitally focused staff that will work largely remote—comprised of college interns throughout the country. Due to the digital aspects of this campaign, familiarity and comfortability operating both a field and digital team is essential.

    Role:

    • Coordinate messaging with senior staff and the candidate
    • Coordinate strategy with senior staff and the candidate
    • Advise multiple departments on campaign initiatives
    • Coalesce messaging and strategy into cohesive, executable goals at the long- and short-term
    • Serve as day-to-day point of contact between candidate and campaign departments
    • Coordinate with relevant departments on logistical matters
    • Assist in developing outreach efforts within and outside of NY-8 for fundraising efforts
    • Provide organizational structure for the campaign to build off
    • Flexibility to work outside of normal, traditional political campaign structure and strategy
    • Manage a hybrid system of digital and in-person staff, volunteers, and interns
    • Oversee the hiring of campaign staff

    Experience and Qualifications:

    • 2 or 3 campaign cycles at a senior-level role
    • 5+ years working on political campaigns or in advocacy campaigns
    • Experience in senior-level management
    • Passionate about Forward Party tenets and vision
