    Position Overview

    Mounts Botanical Garden (MBG) is looking for a highly motived, creative, energetic, detail-oriented, and results-driven individual to join its team as a Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist.

    This is a full-time, non-remote position reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications with occasional work required on weekends for special events.

    The Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist is responsible for successfully carrying out MBG’s digital marketing and social media strategy focused on elevating the Garden’s brand and guest experience in order to increase admissions, and membership and donor base, including research, development, execution, and measurement of digital marketing and social media efforts.

    Primary Duties

    · Work with Director of Marketing & Communications to develop, execute, track, and measure results of the MBG’s overall marketing and communications strategic plan.

    · Develop and execute MBG’s organic and paid social media strategy, including creating and sharing compelling content; monitoring, responding to, and increasing engagement; monitoring and analyzing trends, competition, partners, and influencers; tracking and measuring results.

    · Develop and execute MBG’s email marketing strategy, including content creation, distribution, and measurement.

    · Ensure MBG’s website and mobile garden guide content is accurate and up-to-date.

    · Expand mobile garden guide content, including creating new audio and video content.

    · Explore opportunity for blog development.

    · Research earned and paid advertising/promotional opportunities, and stay up-to-date on best practices.

    · Develop analytics dashboard to report on KPI results for each marketing channel; benchmark MBG’s results compared to industry competitors and partners.

    · Assist with marketing-related grant research, applications, and reporting.

    · Support marketing department and staff on additional marketing asset development, design, and execution; promotions; special events; etc.

    Required Education, Experience and Skills

    · Bachelor’s Degree in marketing-related field.

    · Minimum of one-two years of experience at a marketing agency or in-house marketing department.

    · Experience in successful social media content creation (photo and video), editing, posting, and measuring results.

    · Experience in effective graphic design for various print and digital marketing assets, including e-newsletters (preferably Constant Contact experience), collateral material, print and digital ads, and social media.

    · CRM experience (preferably Blackbaud/Altru/Social Good).

    · Website software updating and SEO experience (preferably WordPress).

    · Strong analytical skills with marketing data and analytics tools experience.

    · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    · Experience with budget tracking.

    · Excellent research, writing, and proofreading skills with high-level, consistent attention to detail.

    · Excellent communication skills.

    · Excellent project management skills; ability to successfully meet deadlines and manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously.

    · Critical thinker and creative problem-solver.

    · Experience with cultural, arts, attraction, leisure, tourism industry preferred.

    · Ability to fluently speak and write Spanish content preferred.
