We are seeking an energetic and experienced instructor to join our team! As an art instructor you will lead a class of students through a successful school year, creating and implementing a comprehensive performing arts educational curriculum. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for children.

Responsibilities:

Plan a classroom curriculum that meets school standards

Encourage the development of students’ critical thinking skills

Prepare any necessary learning materials

Assist with creating props

Assist with creating art displays

Document students’ learning progress

Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment

Work with students for presentations/live performances

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher and state teaching certification is a plus that is not necessary

Previous experience teaching at the k-12 level is preferred

Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management

Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must pass background check

Must pass TB test
