Front Desk Coordinator (Property Support) Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Property Manager Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Location: Alexandria, VA

    About the Role:

This is not your typical front desk role. We’re looking for a reliable, professional, and proactive Front Desk & Property Coordinator to support daily operations at a commercial office property in Old Town Alexandria. While this position is primarily front desk-based, serving as the first point of contact for tenants and visitors, managing building access, and keeping the office running smoothly, it also plays a key role in supporting the overall property.

You’ll help with tenant needs, troubleshoot basic technology, and handle a variety of administrative and operational tasks that keep things running day-to-day. This role requires someone who can balance routine responsibilities with shifting priorities and take initiative without needing constant direction. If you’re organized, confident working with people, and the type of person who figures things out and jumps in where needed, you’ll do well here.

    What You’ll Do

Front Desk & Tenant Experience (Primary Focus)

Serve as the first point of contact for tenants, guests, and vendors

Manage building access, including greeting visitors and assisting with secure entry

Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and general inquiries

Maintain a professional, welcoming, and organized front office environment

Build positive relationships with tenants and provide high-level customer service

    Property & Administrative Support

Assist with the day-to-day operations of the property

Coordinate communication between tenants, vendors, and management

Support rent collection processes, notices, and general recordkeeping

Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and post office runs

Maintain office supplies, kitchen area, and shared spaces

    IT & Office Support

Help troubleshoot office technology (phones, printers, iPads, computers)

Ensure equipment is set up and functioning for daily use

Coordinate with vendors or internal teams when needed

    Additional Support

Assist with marketing or administrative tasks related to property

Provide support to ownership as needed (printing, scheduling, tech help)

Take initiative on tasks that help improve office flow and tenant experience

    What We’re Looking For

2–4 years of experience in a front desk, administrative, or office support role

Strong customer service skills and a professional, polished presence

Comfortable interacting with a professional tenant base (including attorneys and long-term tenants)

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities

Comfortable with basic technology and troubleshooting everyday office systems

Able to work independently and stay productive without constant direction

Reliable, proactive, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities

Comfortable working in a role with both routine front desk responsibilities and changing priorities

    Bonus Qualifications

Experience in commercial real estate or property management

Experience supporting a professional office environment

Exposure to marketing, leasing, or property operations

    Why This Role

Stable, full-time position in a professional office setting

Variety in day-to-day responsibilities beyond a typical front desk role

Opportunity to grow into property management or operations

Work closely with leadership and gain hands-on experience

    Additional Duties

This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, or skills required for the position. Responsibilities may change or be reassigned at any time based on business needs. The employee may be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
