Job Description:
We are looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients with a warm and professional demeanor
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff
Provide basic information about clinic services and policies
Ensure patient waiting areas are clean and organized
Collect and verify patient intake forms, medical history, and insurance information
Maintain and update patient records in the clinic's scheduling and billing system
Process patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
Assist with insurance verification and authorization requests
Prepare and organize paperwork for new and returning patients
Work with billing staff to ensure accurate insurance claims and reimbursements
Assist patients with questions about their bills and payment plans
Communicate with insurance providers as needed to resolve coverage issues
Assist physical therapists with administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
Previous experience in a medical or therapy office preferred but not required
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Basic knowledge of insurance verification and billing is a plus
Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
