    POSITION OVERVIEW

    We are seeking a professional, engaging Front Desk Receptionist/Customer Concierge to join our growing dental practice in Newark. Our practice, established in 2006, is committed to developing and maintaining the oral health of our patients under the clinical direction of Dr. Weiner, a board-certified prosthodontist and implantologist. This is a key position responsible for supporting the front office operations, patient communications, and supporting our practice's growth objectives.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Patient Communication & Scheduling: Answer incoming calls professionally; schedule patient appointments; collect and accurately document patient information and dental history

    Patient Experience: Greet patients warmly upon arrival; manage waiting room experience; ensure a welcoming, professional office environment

    Case Explanation & Patient Education: Explain treatment plans and upcoming procedures to patients in clear, accessible language; answer questions regarding recommended dental work

    Patient Engagement & Business Development: Present recommended treatments effectively; upsell appropriate services; proactively contact previous patients from office database to inform them of relevant services and encourage re-engagement with the practice

    Payment Processing: Process patient payments at the front desk; maintain accurate payment records and patient billing information

    Patient Records Management: Maintain confidential, organized, and current patient records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations

    Administrative Communications: Coordinate with dental laboratories regarding cases; communicate with referring practices and associate offices on behalf of the practice

    Appointment Management: Send appointment reminders via phone, email, or text; manage scheduling logistics and patient follow-ups

    Vacuum Coverage: Provide front desk coverage during staff vacations and office closures

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum 3 years of professional front desk experience in a dental practice (or comparable healthcare environment)

    Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills; professional demeanor

    Proficiency with patient scheduling and electronic health record systems

    Experience processing patient payments and understanding basic dental billing concepts

    Ability to explain dental procedures and treatment options to patients

    Sales or patient engagement experience preferred

    A friendly, open disposition; genuine enjoyment working with people and discussing dental care

    Willingness to learn and adapt; collaborative team mentality

    Must be available Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Experience with Dentrix practice management software

    Previous experience with patient outreach or business development

    Familiarity with dental terminology and prosthodontic cases

    CPR certification or willingness to obtain
