We are seeking a professional, friendly, and organized individual to join a busy pain practice as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role is essential in creating a welcoming experience, supporting efficient front office operations, and helping ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner
- Provide accurate information as appropriate
- Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments
- Check patients in and out, verify demographic and insurance information, and collect required paperwork and co-pays/co-insurance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area
- Support patient registration, intake, and documentation processes
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative team members to support daily operations
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Assist with scanning, filing, faxing, and other administrative tasks as needed
- Provide excellent customer service and help address patient questions or concerns
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical front office, reception, or customer service role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using computers, phone systems, and electronic scheduling or medical record systems
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA compliance expectations
