Front Desk & Sales Associate
BASECK Training — Haddonfield, NJ
At BASECK, we call this role our "Member Experience Specialist" — because you're the first face members see and the reason they keep coming back. We're a new lifestyle performance studio built around a fast, effective 30-minute full-body circuit, offered in-person and virtually, where every workout also earns points toward a donation to one of six charity partners. You'll be at the center of that experience — greeting members, closing sign-ups, and keeping the studio running like clockwork.
Perks of Joining Our Team
Flexible scheduling with day and night shifts available, including weekends
Commission-based incentives on memberships and product sales
Employee discounts and paid time off
Growth opportunities with a fast-paced, expanding business
Training in sales, marketing, and leadership to build your career
Opportunities to be featured on BASECK's social channels
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who's genuinely energized by people — someone who can pick up the phone, turn a cold inquiry into a studio tour, and close the sign-up, all while keeping the front desk spotless and organized. You should be comfortable juggling member check-ins, administrative tasks, and social media outreach in the same shift, and confident enough in a sales conversation to recommend the right membership or product without being pushy. If you like fast-paced environments where no two hours look the same, this role is built for you.
What You'll Do
Front Desk & Member Experience
Serve as the first point of contact for members and guests — greeting, checking in, and answering studio questions
Give studio tours and walk new prospects through membership options
Keep the front desk and lobby clean, organized, and welcoming
Schedule sessions and support members with program-related questions
Sales & Lead Management
Answer and manage incoming calls, walk-ins, and leads from social media, website chat, and other channels
Guide new prospects through intake, first-session setup, and onboarding per studio protocol
Recommend and sell memberships, products, supplements, and apparel
Process transactions and maintain accurate member records using the studio's POS and systems
Community & Content Support
Support studio events and community initiatives
Engage with the local community and studio followers through organic social outreach
Assist in coordinating content requests with the studio's marketing team or agency
Relay member feedback to coaching staff and management to help improve the member experience
What Success Looks Like
Convert 40%+ of studio tours into new memberships
Respond to all inbound leads within 5 minutes
Maintain a 4.8+ average member satisfaction rating
What You'll Need
At least 1 year of experience in a customer service, sales, or administrative role (gym or hospitality experience a plus)
Comfort working with a POS system and basic CRM or scheduling software
A track record of hitting sales or conversion targets, or strong transferable sales instincts
Excellent phone and written communication skills
Availability for day and night shifts, including weekends
Compensation
$18.00–$22.00 per hour, plus commission on memberships and product sales.
How to Apply
Submit your resume, plus a short written response (3–5 sentences) to this question: "A prospective member calls and says they're 'just looking' but sounds hesitant about the price. What do you say to keep the conversation going?"
Email your response to claron.johnson@basecktraining.com with the subject line "BASECK Front Desk Application — [Your Name]." Applications without this step will not be reviewed.
