SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Work with a leader in the financial services industry.  We are seeking a Front End Developer to help drive the evolution of front-end platform, architecture and engineering practices across the financial services company digital experience.   

This is an ideal opportunity for a hand's on technical leader who is passionate about modern web technologies, front-end architecture and platform scalability.

The Ideal Developer will have strong skills in Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, micro front-end architecture, web performance, analytics instrumentation and operational excellence.  This requires strong technical leadership, the ability to influence engineering direction across teams, and experience building and supporting large-scale customer-facing web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide leadership for front-end architecture, platform capabilities and engineering best practices across web and mobile customer experiences.
• Design scalable, maintainable, and performant customer facing web and mobile applications.
• Partner with product, UX, platform and architecture teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive observability improvements through client-side monitoring, logging, telemetry and performance measurement across web and mobile applications.
• Partner with analytics and business teams to implement tracking, tag management, experimentation and customer journey measurement strategies.
• Collaborate with platform and DevOps teams to improve release processes, deployment automation and operational readiness.
• Lead root-cause analysis and troubleshooting efforts for complex production issues impacting customer experiences.
• Serve as SME for Front-end technologies, digital customer experiences and platform engineering practices.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years software engineering experience with a strong focus on front-end development
• Experience delivering and supporting customer facing web and mobile applications in production environments.
• Deep expertise in Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web application architecture
• Experience implementing micro-front-end architectures and shared UI platforms
• Experience with front-end observability, monitoring, logging and performance optimization
• Familiar with analytics instrumentation, digital tracking, tag management solutions and experimentation platforms.
• Strong understanding of API integrations and distributed system interactions.
• Experience supporting production systems and troubleshooting complex customer-facing issues.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with AWS and cloud-native application architectures
• Familiar with modern front-end build and deployment pipelines
• Experience leading front-end platform modernization and migration initiatives
• Experience building reusable design systems, component libraries, and shared front-end frameworks.
