About the Role:

New Vision Behavioral Health Services in Youngstown, OH is looking for a compassionate and organized Front Office Attendant to be the welcoming face of our behavioral health practice. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients seeking mental health and wellness support from the very first moment they walk through our doors.

Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional, and trauma-informed manner

Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems

Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays or patient payments at time of service

Answer and route incoming phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance at all times

Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day

Handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or medical office training preferred

Prior experience in a medical, behavioral health, or mental health front office setting is a plus

Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical scheduling software

Knowledge of insurance verification and basic medical billing processes

Strong interpersonal skills with a calm, empathetic, and patient-centered demeanor

Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
