Leading the front office team, supporting the Rooms Division overall, and helping set the course and agenda for how we bring our promises to our guests to life. This role will truly have an opportunity to shape the role, with authenticity and Galveston's hospitality at the forefront. Responsibilities: • Hands-on operation of the Front Desk, including checking in, checking out guests, responding to guest needs, setting up VIP amenities, and communicating needs within the department and across departments • Creating schedules, understanding and leveraging the budget, and identifying enhancements for the Guest Experience • Monitoring business levels, weighing in on pricing strategy, minimum night stays, and opportunities for incremental revenues • Engage with the overall operation - meaning when we're doing Yoga on the roof, you're setting up mats, when we have a band, you're helping fulfill their rider, when the restaurant is busy, you're running drinks or clearing plates. We are a team that takes care of one another • Constantly train and teach, and most importantly, constantly learn Qualifications: • 2 years of hotel management • 4+ years of progressive roles in hospitality • TABC and Food Handler's Certificates are a Plus • Flexible schedule is a must Compensation: $47,000 - $52,000 Annually
