Job Summary: This person is responsible for day to day administrative and general office duties including word processing, faxing and data entry. This person receives phone calls in a prompt and courteous manner takes messages and transfers call to appropriate person. They greet visitors and assist patients with paperwork .They follow all Clinic policies on safety, privacy and security. They explain financial responsibility to patients and collect co-pays. They are responsible to keep waiting room clean and organized. They assist manager to keep track of office supplies and inventory management. They perform other duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a course in Medical Terminology preferred.
Experience: One year experience as a receptionist in a medical office. Must be familiar with operating copiers, scanners, fax machines and computers. Also experience with Electric Medical Record of some type preferred.
Mental & Physical Requirements: Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with a Receptionist involving sitting approximately 90% of the day with occasional standing, walking, reaching and lifting. Periodic stress occurs from dealing with many phone calls and patient requests.
