    Position Information

    The Front Office Supervisor – Dental oversees and coordinates the daily operations of the dental front office staff, including patient registration, check-in, and check-out processes. This role is responsible for addressing and resolving patient complaints and concerns, identifying and reducing barriers to patient care, and coordinating treatment and payment in collaboration with providers and patients. The Front Office Supervisor also monitors and optimizes provider schedules and provides direct supervision, guidance, and support to Front Office Associates.

    THIS POSITION OFFERS A 40-HOUR WORKWEEK, NO WEEKENDS, FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE, 12 PAID HOLIDAYS, BI-WEEKLY PAY.

    Essential Tasks

    Oversee the practice management system for effective practices with patient registration, scheduling, check-in, check-out, patient tracking, and patient data management.

    Supervise staff, ensuring competency of employees, evaluating performance, and providing corrective action, as needed.

    Work directly with the Chief Dental Officer to supervise staff, including performance management, training and development, and recruitment.

    Respond to patients’ requests and/or complaints in a timely manner. Work with patients in resolving concerns and/or complaints.

    Register new patients, check patients in and out, answer telephones, schedule appointments, and check voicemail daily.

    Substitute for an absent/tardy employee during a shift shortage.

    Experience and Education

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Minimum two years of experience in dental front office management, including registration, scheduling, and billing.

    Ability to supervise and prioritize workflow tasks.

    Customer service skills to resolve patients’ questions and concerns.

    Experience with various types of Microsoft Office products, including MS Excel, MS Word, and Electronic Health Records.

    Schedule Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday - 8 am - 5 pm, 8 hour shift

    Thursday - 8 am - 7 pm

    8 hour shift, day shift, night shift

    Physical Requirements

    Constant standing and walking, occasional bending, stooping, lifting, reaching forward and overhead.

    May occasionally be required to lift patients, office equipment and paper, usually not exceeding fifty pounds of direct lift.

    Frequent computer work required.

    Base Pay Overview

    The starting pay for this position is $19.75 hourly. Please keep in mind that actual salary will vary based on various factors such as qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the roles.
