POSITION SUMMARY

The primary task is identify  fasteners and related c-part items from customer blueprints, samples and/or specifications to source, quote and price items accurately, competitively and profitably

SIGN ON BONUS - $1000! IF HIRED, YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR A $1000 SIGN ON BONUS THAT PAYS OUT $500 AT 90 DAYS AND $500 AT 180 DAYS. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process quote requests in a timely manner from supplier base that provides competitive pricing and terms to facilitate gaining new business or improving the sourcing strategy for existing customers.
• Provide quotes that meet our established purchasing guidelines
• Maintain sourcing information in a company database
• Evaluate and control price add-ons to raw purchase cost such as secondary processing, abnormal freight costs, tooling and other costs.
• Thoroughly review prints, samples, and/or specifications to accurately identify parts and prepare for quotation
• Investigate discrepancies on customer samples and prints and vendor quotes
• Evaluate vendor cost information and factoring market pricing variances
• Help to streamline handover from quotes to purchasing
• Communicate professionally with vendors and meet with suppliers as needed
• Maintain compliance with Wurth House of Threads’ Business Management System (ISO)

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in supply chain, sourcing, purchasing, materials, operations or a manufacturing environment
• Must have fastener experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Prior direct materials sourcing experience in cold heading, mechanical or machining commodities, globalization is an added plus.
• Epicor/P21 and SAP proficiency
• Attention to detail

MINIMUM REQUIRED: A related associates (or relevant current industry license or certification) and 4000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years; OR, a related Bachelor’s or any Master’s degree with 18 discipline related credits and 2000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years.

RELATED DEGREE, CREDENTIAL, AND/OR OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE IN: Computer Information Systems, Computer Networking, Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology, Computer Systems Analyst, Software Systems Developer, Web Developer, Database Administrator, Network Systems Administrator.
