    FULL-TIME, 40 HOURS PER WEEK, DAY SHIFT,  MONDAY - FRIDAY, 06:00AM/08:00AM - 02:30PM/04:30PM

     

    SUMMARY:

    Performs electronic filing of patient data for the clinical laboratory

     

    PURPOSE:

    The purpose of this document is to describe the general nature and level of work performed by personnel as classified; it is not intended to serve as an inclusive list of all responsibilities associated with this position.

            

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. 

    1. Accurate and timely electronic filing/storage of patient requisitions and other documents as required, according to set productivity standards. 
    2. Daily and monthly hardware maintenance. 
    3. Reviews own work for errors. Makes corrections according to established guidelines. 
    4. Performs clerical functions as required. 
    5. Interacts with other laboratory departments to assist in retrieving previously scanned documents. 
    6. Assists with training/orientation of new staff.

    Education/Experience:

    High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

        

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

          

    Math Ability:

    Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiplication and division.

       

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized and unusual situations.

     

    Computer Skills: 

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer terms, keyboard ability and be proficient with mouse usage. Must have basic knowledge of the lab system mailbox (will train).
