Halfaker has an opening for a SENIOR SOFTWARE TESTER to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:
- Create the overall test strategy and test procedures for a set of software products
- Oversee their implementation, modification, and continuous improvement of test strategy and process
- Perform testing and analysis
- Ensure the quality standards of the customer and contract are met via the development and delivery of fact based metrics and reports
Required Skills
- Strong communication skills – Must be a very strong verbal and written communicator
- Must have experience facilitating test planning, reporting and strategy for software builds and releases, resulting in comprehensive, well documented test plans that provide air-tight, auditable, verifiable evidence that all software changes have been tested appropriately
- Must have experience coordinating with stakeholders across teams and across organizations that are required for testing, communicating test responsibilities to these stakeholders, and ensuring stakeholders fulfill their responsibilities
- Must have experience planning test events, ensuring pre-requisite conditions are satisfied, facilitating the test event, and ensuring test results are properly documented and the test event is properly closed out and all post-event actions are fulfilled
- Must have very strong experience working directly with the technical team (Developers, DBAs, etc.) to break down technical requirements and user stories into well documented and executable, verifiable test cases
- Must have experience developing reports and metrics that can be presented at various levels (e.g., customers, executives) demonstrating quality performance at the build and team level
- Must have hands on experience in all phases/aspects of testing: Unit, Regression, Security, Integration, Interoperability, Security, Performance, End to End
- Must be familiar with Scrum and have worked in a Scrum environment
Required Experience
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required
- 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
