    The Accounting Specialist III position will compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. This position will perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. In addition this position may also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Receive and verify invoices for accuracy for goods and services received.
    • Prepare batches of invoices for data entry.
    • Process invoices for payments once purchase orders are received.  Make sure any discrepancies are approved before payment is processed.
    • Manage the weekly check, ACH and wire runs.  
    • Prepare vendor checks for mailing.  
    • Prepare manual checks are necessary.  
    • Work closely with both HR department and senior accountant/assistant controller to make sure all payments are properly classified.
    • Code documents according to company procedures
    • Assist as necessary for month end close.  
    • Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations
    • Assist in special projects for Enterprise as needed.
    • Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.  
    • Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts.

    Required Experience

    • EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required
    • EXPERIENCE: 5 plus years of experience. Microsoft/Excel experience required.
