  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a Business Loan Documentation and Closing Specialist who will report to the Assistant Vice President of Business Lending Operations. This position is responsible for assisting the Business Lending Department through preparation of business documentation, post-closing and booking of business loans. This role performs a variety of functions related to ordering/requesting of source documentation, preparing documents and managing the closings for business loans. This position will have regular contact with existing members, prospective members, and other professional providers used by the Business Lending Department. 

    1. Requests pre-closing documentation for business loans, including title policies, credit bureaus, and flood determinations.
    2. Prepares and thoroughly reviews required closing documents for business loans.
    3. Assists in coordinating loan closings and ensures all required documents are managed appropriately.
    4. This role performs a variety of functions related to ordering due diligence, preparing documents, managing the closing, and processing business loans.
    5. Assists with business member servicing as needed, including loan payment and deposit account questions and activities.
    6. Assembles business loan files and ensures they are organized in a consistent and complete manor.
    7. Prepares necessary checklists for follow-up, i.e., exceptions, etc.
    8. Assists with exception follow-up and tracking, i.e., UCC filings, mortgage filings, title policies, insurance policies, etc.
    9. Performs other duties as assigned.

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

    1. High school diploma or equivalent and three years of direct experience in business/commercial documentation and/or auditing. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
    2. Experience or ability to gain proficiency in all relevant programs and systems used for this job including Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or other analysis software.
    3. Experience with Fiserv DNA preferred. 
    4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently as a valuable team member in a dynamic environment.
    5. Must have a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must understand and comply with all job-related State and federal laws and regulations.
