    As the GENERAL MANAGER at LIBERTY PACKAGING OMAHA, you will lead and manage Liberty Packaging Omaha’s team and work collaboratively across Liberty Packaging’s North region to provide vision, leadership and day to day management. This leader is responsible for meeting business objectives and customer requirements with a focus on product and process excellence for one manufacturing plant and an off-site warehouse operation. You will lead and manage the business in a manner that will produce desired revenue growth with the balanced interests of all stakeholders.  Liberty Packaging is a part of Liberty Diversified International; one of the largest, growing, privately-held companies in the Midwest.

    This position reports directly to our VP OF PACKAGING NORTH and is located at the Liberty Packaging facility in Papillion, NE.

    Required Skills

    IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

    • Serve as the senior leader for Liberty Packaging Omaha; provide direct leadership to functional direct reports including Sales, Finance, Operations and Human Resources
    • Plan, develop, organize and execute the Liberty Packaging Omaha growth focused business plan to meet company financial and strategic objectives
    • Responsible for the overall P&L results which includes cost saving measures and overall growth
    • Work collaboratively across the Liberty Diversified International organization and specifically with the regional functional leaders
    • Manage resources to effectively balance strategic objectives with financial return and the efficient use of assets
    • Ensures manufacturing schedule attainment is meeting customer service expectations, cost and quality considerations
    • Work closely with sales team and customers to analyze, plan and implement new opportunities
    • Lead the development and implementation of all safety policies and programs with EHS team to promote a culture of safety
    • Establish and maintain customer and other related business relationships; participate in key customer and supplier visits and calls
    • Manage employee performance by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against goals, ensuring timely feedback, and addressing performance challenged in a prompt and professional manner
    • Represent Liberty Packaging Omaha in the community

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Operations or related field required
    • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in general management, plant management or senior level functional experience (working in multiple functional area including sales, marketing, distribution and finance) within a manufacturing environment necessary
    • Corrugated, folding box, packaging or closely related industry experience preferred
    • Preferably, this candidate will have significant operational and continuous improvement experience
    • Strong management/leadership skills and ability/willingness to sponsor change
    • Effective communication skills and ability to work with all levels of Liberty Packaging’s organization
    • Strong customer focus
    • High personal standards with a proven track record of integrity, business ethics, and professionalism
    • Action orientation with initiative to achieve results
