    Front Street Cafe in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking an experienced full-time Floor Manager.

    Who are we? We are an all-day café with a garden patio and event space, offering locally sourced New American cuisine. We serve the highest-quality foods possible, using local, plant-based, farm-to-table, and organic ingredients whenever possible.

    Job scope: The Floor Manager is directly responsible for all front-of-house staff, managing the coffee shop, and ensuring quality standards, sanitation, and cleanliness are maintained. They oversee employee training in serving techniques, bartending, barista duties, preparation, plate presentation, portion control, and cost management. Additionally, they work with the General Manager to supervise all customer access areas as part of the front-of-the-house team.

    Compensation and benefits:

    • $55-60K salary based on experience
    • Paid biweekly
    • Direct deposit
    • Medical benefits are eligible after 60 days of employment (employer pays half, pre-tax deduction)

    • Bonus Potential of 1% salary in December (based on performance and restaurant financials)

    Schedule requirements:

    • 45 to 50 hours per week
    • Weekends are mandatory

    Language requirements:

    • English

    Experience and skills needed:

    • Management experience in a similar high-volume restaurant 
    • Front of house experience in various service roles
    • Food safety knowledge, with ServSafe or equivalent certification, is helpful 
    • Working knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor, including standard drink recipes. 
    • Knowledge of vegan and vegetarian-friendly foods is preferred but not required
    • Basic math skills for handling money and operating a cash register.
    • Capable of responsibly managing money, accessing a safe to make change, and deposit closed banks 
    • Staff training and motivation
    • Ability to stand for long periods while working
    • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. 
    • Experience operating a point-of-sale system.
