Front of House / Bar Manager

Location: Dive Bar & Grille

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $10–$13/hour + tips

Position Overview: Dive Bar & Grille is seeking a hands-on, energetic Front of House / Bar Manager to lead daily service operations while actively working on the floor. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering a great guest experience. You’ll be responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations, managing the bar program, supporting staff, and ensuring every guest has a consistent, welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Service

Lead all front-of-house and bar operations during shifts

Actively work the floor (serving, bartending, hosting as needed)

Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and organization

Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally

Bar Management

Oversee bar operations, including cocktail execution and service standards

Monitor inventory, ordering, and product levels

Ensure proper liquor handling and compliance with all alcohol regulations

Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked bar areas

Staff Leadership

Supervise, coach, and support front-of-house and bar staff

Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members

Create a positive, accountable, team-oriented work environment

Lead by example during high-volume service periods

Scheduling & Performance

Assist with staff scheduling to meet business needs

Monitor labor efficiency and productivity during shifts

Provide ongoing feedback and performance coaching

Sales & Guest Experience

Drive sales through upselling, promotions, and events

Build relationships with regular guests and enhance customer loyalty

Ensure a fun, engaging atmosphere consistent with the Dive Bar & Grille brand

Qualifications

2+ years of restaurant and/or bar leadership experience preferred

Strong knowledge of bar operations, cocktails, and service standards

Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
