    Job Description

    POSITION TITLE: Recruiting Manager/Recruiter

     

    REPORTS TO: Associate Director Project Management and Operations

     

    DUTIES: Responsible for supervising Clinical Recruiters and for the recruitment of appropriate candidates for research protocols. Requires the placement and tracking of media advertising, phone screening, community outreach, etc. 

     

    SUPERVISES: Clinical Recruiters/Receptionists

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a health or science related discipline preferred; or at least 3 years of experience as a recruiter. Familiarity with clinical research. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment as a team player.

     

    EXPERIENCE: At least 3 years of experience as a recruiter for clinical research studies is desirable. Strong verbal communication skills are required. Bilingual (English and Spanish) language skills are desirable. Strong skills in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are also a requirement. Must have a basic understanding of clinical trial methodology and terminology. 

     

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: (Recruitment Manager)

     

    • Supervise Clinical Recruiters/Receptionists and processes to assure effective subject recruitment in fulfillment of study screening and enrollment needs, and according to SOPs.
    • Assist in design and placement of research advertisements including posters, flyers, banners, scripts for radio/TV/internet for recruiting research subjects.
    • Assist with validation of clinical database versioning. 
    • Prepare reports of study status and trends.
    • Provide site recruitment and enrollment input to internal team.
    • Participate in internal and external study related meetings.
    • Ensure the highest level of confidentiality of subject information is maintained.
    • Establish and maintain a working relationship with internal team.
    • Participate in recruiting activities.

     

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: (Recruiter/Receptionist)

     

    • Recruit for potential study subjects, including database pre-screen, outreach to potential subjects, perform telephone pre-screen and arrange for subject appointments. 
    • Familiarity with study eligibility requirements and procedures, and the ability to explain to potential subjects. 
    • Enter and update subject’s information into clinical database, and main list after screening visit. 
    • Responsible for serving as the receptionist of the clinic - interact with study volunteers, sponsors and vendors and other clients. Forward all phone calls to appropriate department and staff.
    • Assist and oversee visitors (including research subjects) with sign-in and sign-out procedures of the Clinical Research Center.
