    Job Description

    About the Role

We’re looking for a senior frontend engineer with deep experience in web and mobile development to help build the core user interface for OleOle’s platform. You’ll work directly with our design and backend engineering leads to bring the product to life across browsers and mobile apps — from login and feed mechanics to video features, real-time messaging, and beyond.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who’s worked in fast-paced startup environments, thrives in ambiguity, and is excited about building something from scratch.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop responsive, high-performance UIs for web and mobile (iOS/Android) using modern frameworks
    • Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate Figma designs into functional components
    • Collaborate with backend and AI teams to integrate APIs, real-time data (e.g., live scores), and content translation tools
    • Own implementation of key features including:
      • Twitter-style microblogging
      • WhatsApp-style messaging
      • TikTok-style short video and creation tools
    • Optimize for speed, scale, and seamless UX across platforms
    • Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code
    • Participate in sprint planning, architectural decisions, and long-term roadmap discussions

    Compensation

This role is currently unpaid with deferred compensation until we close our upcoming funding round (in progress). Once funded, this will convert into a full-time paid position with competitive salary and meaningful equity.

    • Strong understanding of mobile UX/UI principles
    • Bonus if you’ve worked on video editing/streaming, real-time messaging, or multilingual apps
