    Food and Beverage Inventory Coordinator

FUDPUCKER’S MANAGEMENT COMPANY (also known as FUD CENTRAL) is, indeed, the room where it happens for the many Fudpucker’s operations in Destin and Fort Walton Beach, Florida and that’s where Fudpucker’s F&B Inventory Coordinator will work (okay, there’s really more than one room…)

We are looking for a tech-savvy individual who gives great attention to details!

The Food & Beverage (F&B) Inventory Coordinator holds the role of F&B purchasing agent and, as such, is responsible for procuring from approved vendors food, beverages, and related supplies as requested for all Fudpucker’s stores. The F&B Inventory Coordinator corresponds with vendors to obtain and relay prices, availability, delivery schedules, etc. to management. The F&B Inventory Coordinator also creates and maintains proper F&B inventory records, assists in analyzing costs in menu item recipes and variances in inventory counts from theoretical usage, interfaces with accounting personnel to provide accurate and timely reporting and keeps senior management involved when pricing, quality, substitution, and delivery issues may impact the business.

    Qualifications:

Likes being part of a professional team and knows how to be a good teammate (i.e. is trustworthy, helps others, etc.) but can work independently

Is curious, observant and pays attention to details

Thorough working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes, and procedures.

Extensive knowledge of the restaurant business and ability to negotiate best terms, pricing, and delivery from vendors based upon the budget and schedule requirements

Highly skilled in learning, programming, and using business technology systems such as inventory ordering and point of sale systems.

Understands and practices high degrees of integrity and confidentiality

Must be able to communicate and understand the primary language of the work location

Has better-than-average skills in Microsoft Excel – like creating formulas, formatting and sorting data and that kind of stuff – plus Microsoft Word and Outlook, too

Can work a minimum of 40 hours Monday through Friday onsite in Destin and possibly some overtime, weekends or holidays as needed occasionally to get work done (there is flexibility for the general weekly workday schedule such as 7:30am-3:30pm, 8:00am-4:00pm, etc.)

    Responsibilities:

Works as the F&B purchasing agent who serves as the primary point of contact for all F&B vendors. Oversees the inter‑company requisition system, issuing purchase orders to vendors, and coordinating deliveries with each restaurant operation accordingly

Creates and maintains well-organized and accurate F&B inventory records in all systems. Ensures F&B inventory items correspond

Assists Store Management in evaluating orders based upon projected sales volumes, price break/discount levels, and shelf-life considerations

Responds to feedback from Store Managers and operational-level F&B Managers regarding the quality levels of all F&B items received. Ensures that any changes made by the vendors to the quality of items are discussed, reviewed, and approved by the General Manager

Provides support to the General Manager for all bulk item purchasing. Ensures that any updates are reviewed and approved by the General Manager before finalization

Interfaces with accounting department to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information. Assists with inventory control to minimize costs of food, beverage, and related supply items including analysis and confirmation of physical inventory counts upon receipt, correct portioning, avoidance of waste, theft prevention, etc.
