Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the financial health of the company by performing daily accounting tasks, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and expense reports.
· Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
· Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
· Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
· Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
· Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
· Use accounting software and systems to streamline financial processes.
Qualifications:
· 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in the construction or heavy civil materials industry.
· Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Sage, or ERP systems.
· Strong understanding of financial principles, GAAP, and regulatory compliance.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other departments.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
