Job Description

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly structured and solution-oriented Solution/System Architect (Lead System Engineer) with a passion to drive collaboration and deliver high-quality, highly complex projects and solutions to our Customers. This is a client-facing role within our Tolling Solution Center where you will lead a talented group of Engineers through the technical delivery process – bid to implementation. Additionally, the Solution/System Architect (Lead Systems Engineer) will work closely with Project Managers to ensure correct, timely, on-budget delivery of implementations and act as a mentor to Engineers to support their growth within the organization. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Technical leadership and responsibility for Tolling solutions from project bid- to implementation for the software and hardware aspects of the solution.

·       Design, planning and presentation of Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) solutions.

·       Act as the project owner for technical deliverables and provide final acceptance.

·       Own the delivery of the overall E2E system design and related artifacts.

·       Business Analysis and optimization of customer Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) business processes and architectures.

·       Requirements engineering preparation of specifications and system processes

·       Collaborate with verification and validation test teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

·       Act as the Technical interface to the customer.

·       Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources.

·       Collaboration with Project Managers and Development Team members to provide estimations and develop an overall implementation plan.

·       Close cooperation with developers, infrastructure, operation, technical customer support and project management to ensure proper implementation.

·       Assist in the Definition of Scope of Works

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Software Architecture, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or similar field.

·       Minimum Five (5) years of System Engineering experience (system architecture design and deployment, interfaces and protocols, databases, frameworks, etc.).

·       Minimum Two (2) years of customer relationship management experienc

·       Minimum Three (3) year of Requirements Engineering experience.

·       Excellent presentation, reporting and communication skills.

·       Working knowledge of standard Project Management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall) and best practices.

·       Experience leading software product development projects.

·       Flexibility and willingness to travel 25-30% domestically.

OUR TOP CANDIDATES WILL HAVE

·       Master’s Degree in Engineering, Software Architecture, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or similar field.

·       Experience in Electronic Toll Collection (ETC)– with a solid understanding of related business processes for related solutions (WE WILL PRIORITIZE CANDIDATES WITH THIS HIGHLY PREFERRED EXPERIENCE).

·       Experience leading software product development projects.

·       Process improvement and optimization experience.

·       Expertise with all facets of the solution architecture including UI/UX, APIs, Databases & Storage.

·       Working experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence and similar.
