Growth Engineer
Location: New York, NY
Company Stage: High-growth, venture-backed startup
Employment Type: Full-time
About Our Client
Our client is building an AI-native platform that powers the exchange of mission-critical assets across America’s essential industries. Their platform automates complex transactions across discovery, payments, freight, paperwork, warranty, and financing — turning processes that used to take months into workflows that can happen in minutes.
The company has expanded rapidly across all 50 states, grown revenue more than 10x in under a year, and raised $18M from top-tier investors including Y Combinator, Initialized Capital, Infinity Ventures, FJ Labs, and others.
This is an opportunity to join an early, talent-dense team building real infrastructure for industries that still rely heavily on PDFs, phone calls, manual workflows, and outdated software.
About the Role
Our client is hiring a Growth Engineer to build the systems that turn their sales motion into a scalable machine.
This person will work closely with the sales team, customers, dealers, manufacturers, fleet operators, and government buyers to build the data infrastructure, internal tools, and AI-powered workflows that drive pipeline growth.
This is not a traditional engineering role focused on tickets. It is a high-ownership role for someone who loves building systems, moving fast, working close to the customer, and using AI to create real business leverage.
What You’ll Do
- Build data infrastructure that identifies and organizes prospects across a fragmented, analog industry
- Turn messy, unstructured, real-world data into clean pipelines and actionable sales signals
- Build internal tools that make the sales team dramatically more effective
- Create outbound automation, lead routing, sequencing, and deal-room tooling
- Apply AI and LLMs to automate research, prospecting, qualification, and workflow execution
- Build agents that operate in the background and compound the company’s sales advantage
- Partner closely with founders, sales, and customers to identify high-impact opportunities
- Ship quickly, iterate often, and build tools that directly impact revenue
What We’re Looking For
- An AI-native engineer who uses modern AI tools as part of their daily workflow
- A builder who thinks in systems, not tickets
- Strong experience designing and working with scalable databases and APIs
- A track record of shipping high-quality products at scale
- Experience building with or for AI agents, automation, or LLM-powered workflows
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-performance startup environment
- Strong communication skills and excitement about working cross-functionally
- A willingness to question the status quo and become a true expert in the market
- Customer-facing instincts and a desire to build close to the business
Nice to Have
- Experience as a technical co-founder or early engineer at a Series A, B, or C startup
- Experience working with messy real-world data from analog or fragmented sources
- Familiarity with tools like Clay, HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, or similar sales/marketing automation platforms
- 2+ years of professional engineering experience
Why This Opportunity
- Join one of the first 35 employees at a fast-growing, venture-backed startup
- Work directly with the founders and help define foundational systems across the company
- Build products and internal tools used every day by customers in essential industries
- Join a team with backgrounds from Ramp, Twitter, Goldman Sachs, Bilt, Wise, Unify, Honey, PayPal, and more
- Help modernize a massive industry still running on outdated workflows
- Step into a role where engineering directly drives revenue, growth, and company strategy
