Position Overview
In this role, you will manage a dedicated team of software engineers in our dynamic, startup-oriented environment. As a Tech Lead Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in designing solutions, prioritizing efforts, contributing to key features, and maintaining applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architect systems, and deliver high-quality software that meets both business and technical needs. Your expertise will guide the team in building scalable, efficient, and maintainable applications, and you will mentor developers to help them grow in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse team of 5+ engineers overseeing one product on web and mobile.
- Architect and implement software solutions that meet business requirements and ensure optimal performance.
- Lead the design and implementation of mission-critical systems using NodeJS, MongoDB, and Angular/React.
- Develop secure RESTful APIs with integrated authentication to enable seamless integrations.
- Oversee the development of mobile applications that leverage web technologies.
- Ensure the team writes clean, scalable, secure, and efficient code while adhering to best practices.
- Mentor and guide developers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and technical excellence
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering leadership roles. Management experience is a plus.
- A minimum of 6 years of professional programming experience. This is a very hands-on manager role.
- Proven expertise in NodeJS and one or more modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Hands-on experience with one or more public cloud platforms and an understanding of modern CI/CD practices.
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and architecture.
- Proven experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern workflows.
- Extensive experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and related technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be available to work onsite at our Stamford, CT headquarters 4 days a week.
