    Moreland Connect has been building solving key business problems for industry leaders and innovators for 25+ years. Our growing Midwest agency uses GenAI to deliver innovative custom software solutions through seamless collaboration with our dedicated team. We are looking for strong engineers who can deliver high-quality code, collaborate tightly, and continuously learn. As a Software Engineer you’ll build production features, contribute ideas, and grow under the mentorship of a Lead Software Engineer while helping the squad meet its delivery goals.

    Who we are seeking as a teammate:

    • 1–3 years professional software engineering experience.

    • Full-stack proficiency:

      • Frontend: modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue, Svelte, etc.).

      • Backend: object-oriented language (C#, Java, Python, Kotlin, etc.).

      • Data: solid SQL skills and understanding of relational schemas.

      • Cloud: exposure to deploying apps on Azure, AWS, or GCP using CI/CD.

    • Comfort with GenAI developer tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, etc.) and willingness to use AI to code faster and smarter.

    • Collaborative mindset: eager to give and receive feedback, pair program, and share knowledge.

    • Quality focus: writes unit/integration tests and mindful of performance and security.

    • Agile familiarity: participates in backlog refinement, story sizing, and retrospectives.

    Bonus points for

    • Mobile (React Native, Flutter) or desktop (Electron, Tauri, WPF) experience.

    • GenAI hobby projects—prompt engineering, small agents, or model fine-tuning.

    • Experience in manufacturing, healthcare, or IoT domains.

    Key Responsibilities & Time Allocation

    • Hands-on coding & feature development — implement user stories, fix bugs, write tests = 70 %
    • Peer collaboration & code reviews — pair programming, review PRs, refine tasks with teammates = 15 %
    • Engineering Guild & standards — contribute to shared libraries, docs, and GenAI accelerators = 5 %
    • Ceremonies & communication — stand-ups, sprint reviews, demos, client syncs = 10 %
