About the Role We need a contract Zoho CRM developer who deeply understands the platform — not just how to click buttons, but how to architect solutions that actually solve business problems. You'll work directly with our team to understand our processes, identify gaps, and build solutions that make sense for where we're going — not just where we are. This is a remote, contract engagement. Projects will be scoped and assigned, and we expect you to own them from start to finish before moving on to the next. No half-finished builds. No context-switching before the job is done. What We're Looking For • Proven, deep experience with Zoho CRM (custom modules, workflows, blueprints, Deluge scripting, integrations) • A strategic mindset — you think about the why behind a request, not just the what • Strong project management habits — you scope, plan, execute, and close • Self-directed and organized — you don't need hand-holding, you need clear goals • Clear communicator — you can explain technical decisions in plain language • Portfolio or past work you can speak to in detail You're NOT a fit if... • You need tasks broken down step-by-step before you can move • You treat every request as a one-off ticket rather than part of a bigger picture • You jump between projects and leave things 80% done • You've "used Zoho" but can't explain why you made the decisions you made Responsibilities: What You'll Do • Dig into our business processes and translate them into smart Zoho CRM configurations, automations, and workflows • Ask the right questions upfront so you understand the problem, not just the task • Build clean, scalable solutions — and document what you've done so it can be maintained • Communicate clearly throughout a project and flag issues before they become problems • Complete projects fully before picking up the next one Qualifications: • 3+ years of hands-on Zoho CRM development and configuration • Strong proficiency in Deluge scripting for custom functions, workflows, and automation • Experience building and managing custom modules, layouts, fields, and views • Proven ability to design and implement blueprints, workflows, and approval processes • Experience with Zoho CRM integrations — whether via native Zoho apps, Zapier, webhooks, or REST APIs • Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into a technical build plan — without needing everything spelled out • Demonstrated ability to manage and complete projects independently , start to finish • Strong written communication skills — you can document your work clearly Preferred / Bonus • Experience with broader Zoho One suite (Zoho Books, Desk, Campaigns, Analytics, etc.) • Familiarity with Zoho Creator for custom app development • Background working with sales or operations teams to map and improve processes • Experience with third-party integrations beyond the Zoho ecosystem Compensation: $25 - $75 hourly
