Our client is hiring full-time developers to work on their IoT platform. This role will be responsible for architecture and development of data-oriented applications, Cloud Services which support them, APIs and secure communication with IoT devices.
LOCATION
Sandy Springs, GA (hybrid - ~2 days in office per week), or nearby locations - Raleigh, Charlotte, Birmingham, Huntsville (close enough where an occasional trip to the office is doable)
REQUIREMENTS
It is essential that:
- You have a degree with 5+ years’ experience working in Cloud-native Software Projects
- You are an accomplished developer using Python, SQL, JavaScript, using the Django and React frameworks
- You possess in-depth knowledge of SW development, Configuration Management, QA, Security, CI/CD vs build and deploy pipelines
- You can demonstrate experience in REST APIs (as both a publisher and consumer)
- Have experience developing high-performance web-oriented applications on one of the main CSPs (preferably AWS) in a containerized environment (Docker and Kubernetes)
- You are fluent in modern design patterns – specifically Service Oriented Architecture
- You know your way around SW development tools – from Version Control through to deployment and application monitoring
- You have experience working in an Agile development environment, utilizing Continuous Integration and Test Automation tools – including common Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
Desirable (but not required):
- Experience with end-to-end IoT systems
- Some front-end development experience, especially in data visualization, would be useful
- You are aware of Data Privacy and Data Security principles, standards, and regulations (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC2, PCI, encryption, Authentication & Authorization, Identity & Access Management…)
- DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering and Secure Development experience would be a huge bonus
- ML - especially Image Analysis and predictive analytics
- You have experience working with AWS Platform Services
- Experience in developing Industrial IoT solutions; at a minimum - familiarity with device to platform communications & control
