We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and support our team's operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Desktop/Online
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Generate invoices and process payments
- Track project costs and budgets
- Prepare financial reports for management
- Handle payroll and coordinate with payroll providers
- Manage vendor accounts, including issuing 1099s
- Ensure compliance with state and federal tax filings
- Support CPA with year-end documentation
Qualifications:
- Proven bookkeeping experience (preferably in construction or a related industry)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in QuickBooks [Desktop or Online]
- Familiarity with construction management or job costing software (e.g., Buildertrend) is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Experience:
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Experience working in residential construction or trades
- Knowledge of lien waivers, AIA billing, and progress invoicing (optional)
