We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Caregiver to join our team for the night shift.
Job Summary:
As a Full-Time Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualized care and support to our clients during the overnight hours. Your primary focus will be to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of clients in our facility or within their homes. This role requires a compassionate demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Monitor and document clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding, if necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties.
- Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
- Administer medications as per care plans and document appropriately.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide first aid as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other staff members regarding care plans and client progress.
- Uphold the dignity and respect of clients while promoting their independence and choice.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in caregiving or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related role preferred.
- Demonstrated compassion and patience, with a strong desire to help others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and perform other physically demanding tasks.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Background check and drug screening may be required.
