Job Description
We’re looking for a flexible, dependable, people-friendly Floater who genuinely enjoys caregiving and can step into any assignment. This is a zero-restriction role — no exclusions, no preferences, no limitations. The floater supports multiple homes, prevents gaps in care, and represents the agency with professionalism.
Floaters play a vital role in client consistency—supporting multiple households each day and ensuring no visit goes uncovered. If you are dependable, adaptable, and passionate about caregiving, we would love to have you on our team.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and transfers
Safely support client mobility, including use of wheelchairs, walkers, and other equipment
Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support
Offer medication reminders (no administration)
Perform light housekeeping, laundry, errands, grocery shopping, and meal preparation
Follow individualized care plans and agency policies
Accurately observe, document, and report changes in client condition
Travel between multiple clients each day across assigned areas
Maintain professionalism, reliability, and strong communication with the office
This is NOT companionship-hands-on care is required (ADLs, mobility, transfers, bed baths done correctly, and brief changes).
Qualifications
CNA preferred; PCA with experience considered (Minimum 6 months of hands-on caregiving)
Must have reliable transportation to travel safely between multiple client homes daily
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and safely assist with transfers
Must be able to work in various home environments, including:
Homes with pets
Homes where clients may smoke
Male and female clients
Must have full availability Thursday–Monday, 8AM–6PM
Must complete and pass a caregiver skills assessment
Must communicate effectively in English for documentation and client/staff coordination
Bilingual caregivers (especially Spanish-speaking) strongly encouraged to apply
Must have a smartphone with internet access for clocking in/out and care notes
Must pass a background check and NC Health Care Personnel Registry clearance
Caring, patient, dependable, and adaptable to schedule changes
Smartphone with data
Note: Applicants must be able to communicate directly with clients and staff without an interpreter during interviews and while providing care. Completion of training programs does not guarantee employment.
Benefits & Perks
Competitive pay $15.00–$18.00 per hour based on experience and client pay source
Weekly pay every Friday + same-day pay option (usage is subject to eligibility based on hours worked.)
Caregivers consistently working 30+ hours/week may be eligible for a $140 monthly benefit stipend
Stable full-time floater schedule
Opportunities for overtime when needed

Weekly gas stipend
Ongoing training and professional growth
Supportive, team-focused work environment
