We are seeking an experienced Employment Attorney with at least five years of employment litigation experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling wage and hour matters, wrongful termination and discrimination claims, and proceedings before the California Civil Rights Department (CRD). This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated litigator to work on sophisticated matters in a collaborative and supportive environment.
What You’ll Do:
• Handle a variety of employment litigation matters, including wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and related employment claims.
• Manage matters through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Represent employers in CRD claims, investigations, and related administrative proceedings.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment and adjudication.
• Provide strategic legal analysis and practical guidance to clients on employment-related issues and risk management.
• Manage a caseload with a focus on quality client service and efficient case resolution.
• Track and meet minimum billable hour requirements (150 hours/month).
• Utilize Microsoft 365, document management systems, and billing software to remain organized and productive.
Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of employment litigation experience.
• Strong proficiency in wage and hour litigation, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and CRD claims.
• Experience handling depositions, discovery, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Familiarity with California employment laws, including FEHA, PAGA, and wage and hour regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, document management systems, and time tracking for billables.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and client management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary:
• Attorneys with significant litigation and trial experience: $180,000+ annual salary, plus step-up/performance bonuses for billing over 150 hours.
• Attorneys with less trial experience: $130,000–$150,000 annual salary, plus bonuses for exceeding billable expectations.
