Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in South Charlotte in finding a full-time Family Assistant for a family that includes three elementary-age children. The Family Assistant would be needed Monday - Friday from approximately 9:00 am - 5:30 pm. Occasional evening care will be requested if the parents have a work commitment or event to attend. Overnight help would be needed a few times a year when the parents need to travel at the same time. There may also be opportunities to travel with the family from time to time as well.

The best Family Assistant for this family would be experienced in caring for multiple children while expertly managing the day-to-day needs of a busy household. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, reliable, and an excellent time manager who anticipates needs before being asked and takes pride in creating calm, efficient systems for the family.

In the mornings, the Family Assistant would come in and help with house management duties. All of the children attend the same school and would need to be picked up after school. After school, the Family Assistant will manage the children's routines, including healthy snacks, transportation to activities, homework, bathing, and helping ensure they are organized and prepared for school, sports, and activities the following day. Parents are actively involved and collaborate with transportation and other needs as schedules allow. The best Family Assistant would also enjoy planning fun, creative, active, and educational experiences to engage the children after school or on school breaks. These activities should encourage learning, growth, independence, and development.

During the time that the children are in school, the Family Assistant would be responsible for assisting with house management duties. These duties will vary but include family laundry, organizing, grocery shopping, running errands, rotating books, clothes, and shoes, ensuring that the children are ready for the next day of school, activities, or sports as needed (ensuring forms are sent in, they have things for projects, their lunch is ready to go, their sports uniforms are ready, their sports bags are packed, etc.), and meal prep for the children’s lunch boxes, meals, and snacks. The Family Assistant should proactively anticipate upcoming household and children’s needs and identify ways to improve organization and efficiency without needing to be directed.
