Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Cotswold in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for their 5 and 7-year-olds. The Family Assistant would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.

The best Family Assistant would be a dependable, proactive, and engaging professional who can thoughtfully balance childcare and household support. This individual will act as a natural extension of the parents, providing attentive care for their two active children while helping the home run smoothly. Both children attend school Monday through Friday, with the youngest in half-day preschool and the oldest returning home after 3:00 PM. During school hours, the Family Assistant will focus on managing household responsibilities, ensuring everything stays organized and well-maintained.

The children enjoy a variety of activities and love spending time outdoors with friends, as well as engaging in creative indoor play like building and games. This candidate is comfortable fostering learning beyond the classroom, supporting both academic growth and social-emotional development. They will be comfortable assisting with homework, sharing thoughtful updates with parents, and helping reinforce learning in a positive, supportive way. The family’s 4-year-old has food allergies, so attentiveness and confidence in managing dietary needs are important.

This role is well-suited for someone intuitive, organized, and naturally takes initiative, while being respectful of the family’s preferences and routines. Reliability is key, as both parents have demanding schedules with limited flexibility and occasional travel. Strong communication skills are essential, ensuring the parents are consistently and thoughtfully kept informed.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the children

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

Household Duties Include:

• Children’s laundry

• Meal prep, including children’s snacks and family meal prep, a few days a week

• Keep the children’s areas organized and tidy

• Unloading/loading dishwasher

• Wiping down kitchen counters

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children

• Coordinating home repairs and overseeing service providers

• Receive and put up the grocery orders

• General errands such as dry cleaning

• Package management

• Organize the pantry and children’s closets as needed

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional Family Assistant experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• It is preferred that the Family Assistant can swim

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on childhood vaccinations

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• Legal pay is offered at $28-$30 an hour, negotiable depending on experience
