    Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Dilworth neighborhood of Charlotte in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for their family, including a two-year-old girl and a baby boy (who will be a few months old when the nanny starts). The Family Assistant would typically be needed Monday-Friday, 4 days a week, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Some flexibility is needed with days and times worked, and the schedule will be given a few months in advance.

    The best Family Assistant for this family would be extremely reliable, experienced in caring for infants and toddlers, able to care for two children at once, and be very engaging with the children. Their daughter is very active and likes to go to the park, library, swim class, and Little Gym. Their son will be relatively young when the Family Assistant starts. The Family Assistant will need to keep him on his schedule, engage with him, and help him meet his developmental milestones. His interest in activities will grow and evolve over time. The Family Assistant would be encouraged to take the children outside on strolls and to play outside whenever the weather is nice. Being proactive in coming up with engaging, age-appropriate learning activities in and outside of the home that promote both independent play and interaction with the Family Assistant is imperative to this role. Screen time should be kept to a minimum, and the Family Assistant should strive to foster an educational environment for the children each day.

    Nanny Responsibilities Include:

    • Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children(Feeding, Changing, Napping)
    • Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level
    • Playing with the children both inside and outside the home
    • Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

    Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

    • The family’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly
    • Planning and preparing children's and family meals
    • Unloading/loading the dishwasher and sanitizing bottles
    • Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children
    • Picking up after the nanny and the children throughout the day
    • Organizing and rotating children’s clothing, toys, and other child-related items.
    • Emptying the diaper pail
    • Grocery Shopping
    • Managing home vendors
    • Running errands

    Pets: The family has two 7-year-old Boxers, who are large dogs. The nanny must be comfortable around dogs and caring for children with large dogs in the home (ensuring the safety of the children and dogs). There is a dog door that they can come in and out of; sometimes, the Family Assistant would need to let them in and out as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Have at least 3 years of professional Family Assistant experience
    • Experience caring for infants and toddlers
    • Have a college degree or equivalent experience
    • Have a professional resume
    • Fill out a complete online application

    • Pass a national background check, including a driving record check
    • Have a valid driver’s license
    • Have safe and reliable transportation
    • Have a minimum of three professional references
    • Be non-smoking/vaping
    • CPR and First Aid Certified
    • Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus, especially Spanish.
    • Must be up to date on childhood vaccinations, TDAP, and the annual flu vaccine.

    Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

    • This position starts at the end of September or October 2025
    • Legal pay is offered at $27 - $30 an hour, depending on experience
