    Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Foxcroft in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for their two boys, ages 9 and 7 years old. The Family Assistant would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 11:00 am - 7:00 pm. Flexibility is key as hours may vary depending on the parents’ work schedule, summer needs, and there may be occasional overnights when parents travel for work. 40 hours are guaranteed, any hours over 40 worked in one week will be paid at the overtime rate. For overnight stays when parents are traveling, a private bedroom and bathroom will be provided.

    The best Family Assistant for this family would be reliable, flexible, attentive, and able to proactively anticipate the needs of the family. Each day, the Family Assistant will arrive at 11:00 AM and complete household management tasks before transitioning to afternoon childcare responsibilities. From 11:00 AM to approximately 2:30–3:00 PM, the Family Assistant will focus on household management tasks, which include, but are not limited to organizing, running errands, coordinating and overseeing vendors, stocking household supplies, children’s meal preparation, children’s laundry, and grocery shopping for the children. The Family Assistant will also help manage household logistics such as packing and unpacking children’s items for trips, and keeping children’s and pet supplies stocked.

    In the afternoon, the Family Assistant will pick up the two children from school and support their daily routine, including transporting them home from school, to sports practices and games, and to activities. After school, the Family Assistant should give the children an afternoon snack and engage them in fun afternoon activities. The Family Assistant should also help ensure that the children are prepared for the next day of school. This role requires an energetic and engaging Family Assistant who enjoys spending time outdoors and actively engaging with children through age-appropriate activities at home and in the community. Responsibilities include meeting the daily scheduling needs of the children, planning fun and enriching outings, and providing attentive, positive care.

    During the summer months, the children attend camps for several weeks, and the Family Assistant’s hours may shift a little earlier in the day. The Family Assistant will be responsible for transportation to and from camp, caring for the children when they are not in camp, and managing the children’s summer schedules. As always, the children’s needs are the top priority, with household tasks completed around the children’s schedules.

    Childcare Responsibilities Include:

    • Meeting the daily scheduling needs of the children

    • Picking the children up from school and transporting them to sports and activities.

    • Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level both inside and outside the home

    • Taking the children on fun, age-appropriate outings

    • Ensuring the children are prepared for the next day of school

    Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

    • Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

    • Children’s meal prep

    • Grocery Shopping for the children

    • Washing dishes and Unloading/loading the dishwasher

    • Tidying and resetting the kitchen

    • Scheduling and managing home vendors

    • Stocking household items and organizing

    • Running personal errands

    • Pack and unpack the children from trips

    • Ensure children's and pet items are stocked

    Pets:

    The family has two dogs, an elderly Mini Schnauzer and a Mini Golden Doodle, who is a few years old. The Family Assistant would be responsible for letting the dogs out a few times a day.

    Qualifications:

    • Have at least 3 years of professional Nanny and Household Management experience

    • Have a college degree or equivalent experience

    • Have a professional resume

    • Fill out a complete online application

    • Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

    • Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

    • Have a valid driver’s license

    • Have safe and reliable transportation

    • Have a minimum of three professional references

    • Be non-smoking/vaping

    • CPR and First Aid Certified

    • Must be able to swim, as there is a pool in the backyard

    • Family Assistant should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

    Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

    • This position starts ASAP

    • Legal pay is offered at $29 per hour, negotiable depending on experience

    • Continued pay while the family is away

    • 12 days of paid time off
