Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Myers Park in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for their 18-month-old daughter. The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 12:30 pm - 6:30 pm, and starting in January of 2027, the schedule will change to Monday-Friday, 10:30 am - 6:30 pm

The best Family Assistant would be a gentle, nurturing, and proactive professional who brings a thoughtful, hands-on approach to childcare while working in close partnership with a stay-at-home mom. This individual will be intuitive, collaborative, and confident, stepping in to provide support as needed.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, anticipates the family's needs, and looks for ways to be helpful throughout the day. A warm, creative approach to childcare is essential, with a focus on fostering development through engaging, screen-free activities. These activities will include arts and crafts, imaginative play, reading, singing, and Montessori-inspired learning, supporting the child’s social, emotional, and physical development. During the daily nap schedule from approximately 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, the Family Assistant will help with the household duties listed below. The Family Assistant should be enthusiastic about planning and participating in community outings, including going to The Bunny Hive, local playgrounds, and outdoor spaces.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the child

Household Duties Include (Child is the first priority):

• Family’s laundry and changing the child’s sheets weekly, and ironing when time allows

• Family meal prep

• Unloading/loading dishwasher

• Wiping down kitchen counters

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the child

• Emptying the diaper pail and restocking diapers and wipes

• Organize the pantries and children’s areas

Pets: The family has a friendly Golden retriever; the Family Assistant will be asked to let him out throughout the day.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional Family Assistant experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on childhood vaccinations and TDAP when the second child arrives

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts July 20th

• Legal pay is offered at $28 an hour, depending on experience
