Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Olde Providence South in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for their two children, who are 2 and 5 years old. The nanny would typically be needed Monday and Wednesday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Thursday 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm, and Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

The best nanny for this family would be a reliable, punctual, and highly engaged caregiver who brings an outgoing, creative, and proactive approach to their role. This individual will be intuitive to the family’s needs and create a fun, hands-on, and upbeat environment while remaining highly attentive to the children’s well-being and development. During the school year, when the children are in school, the Family Assistant will work on the household duties listed below.

Responsibilities include safely managing school and camp pick-up and drop-off, supporting nap time routines for the youngest child, and providing engaging, age-appropriate activities for the five-year-old, such as coloring, art, and imaginative play. The nanny will enjoy planning and participating in active outings, including trips to the playground, pool, and extracurricular activities at the YMCA. Prior experience supporting potty training is a plus, as the family’s two-year-old will soon begin the process.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

• Meal preparation, including preparing nutritious snacks for the children and assisting with simple meal prep for the parents, such as washing and chopping vegetables.

• Unloading/loading dishwasher, including washing lunch boxes

• Wiping down kitchen counters and frequently used surfaces

• Picking up and sanitizing toys

• Keeping children’s rooms and play areas clean and tidy

• Emptying the diaper pail and stocking diapers and wipes

• Package management, including handling returns and coordinating pickups

Pets: The family has a mixed-breed dog. The Family Assistant will be asked to take the dog for walks and play fetch when time allows.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional family assistant experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• The Family Assistant should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• Legal pay is offered at $25-$28 an hour, depending on experience
